Processing Timelines
Understand how long visas take, what influences timelines, and how to keep your trip on schedule.
How long does visa processing take?+
Processing times differ widely among embassies. As a baseline, most visit visas are released within two to six weeks after biometrics, but peak travel seasons and public holidays can extend turnaround significantly. We track historical performance for each mission so you receive the most realistic date range before we submit your application.
Embassy workload is only one factor. Completeness of documentation, your travel history, and whether security clearances are required all influence the queue. Because of this, we pad your timeline with built-in contingencies and monitor status updates so there are no last-minute surprises.

Can you expedite my application?+
Several consulates, including the UK and select Schengen states, offer priority or super-priority add-ons. We evaluate whether these services are available for your nationality and visa type, explain the fees involved, and secure the earliest appointment before slots disappear.
Even with priority handling, the embassy retains ultimate control over release dates. We therefore prepare a comprehensive file from the outset to prevent rejections that would negate the time saved. If the fast-track queue closes, we pivot to alternate missions or adjust travel dates with your airline partner.

When should I start the visa process?+
Begin as early as possible—ideally 6 to 8 weeks before departure for standard visit visas, and even earlier for long-stay or study permits. This window covers document gathering, translations, and notarisation alongside biometric scheduling.
Early preparation protects your airline and accommodation investments. If an embassy requests additional evidence, we will still have room to respond without derailing your itinerary. For urgent cases we can compress stages, but we always communicate potential risks so you can make informed decisions.
